Meet the Team
As a fully regulated care home, all of our staff have the necessary training to be able to provide our residents with the care and support they may need. But at Elm House we believe in doing more than just what is required; all of our staff receive not only the mandatory training, but also additional training to ensure they are able to offer so much more than other care home staff. Our registered manager carries out monthly appraisals on all of her team to ensure standards are as high as possible.

Carol Griffiths has worked in the catering industry for 20 years. She holds City and Guilds Hospitality and Catering Awards and up to date relevant Food Hygiene training. Carol doesn’t just provide award winning meals for the residents though – her personality, charm and heart of gold are also essential ingredients! Carol is passionate about the delivery and presentation of the meals at Elm House and cooks homely, seasonal and fresh food daily for our residents to enjoy tremendously. Carol’s skills mean she is very much in demand but she was drawn to Elm House because of the state of the art kitchen facilities combined with the amazing amount of fresh local produce available for her to work with, a true chef’s delight!
Just one of Carol’s passions is home baking and she takes great pride in catering for special occasions for guests including Christmas and Easter, birthdays, anniversaries and afternoon teas.
